For more than 60 years, St John Ambulance has been on the frontline of emergency medical response in Papua New Guinea.

St John Papua New Guinea is a trusted charity, saving lives and providing the nation’s primary emergency ambulance and medical retrieval service.

St John Papua New Guinea (PNG) mission is to protect and save lives, provide essential medical services, and support Papua New Guineans in their time of greatest need.

Established by an Act of Parliament, St John PNG operates in accordance with the St John Council Incorporation Act 1976.

As a not-for-profit statutory emergency service, St John PNG is supported by partial government funding, community donations, and corporate partnerships. St John PNG also fundraises by providing a range of social medical enterprises.

St John PNG Ambulance achieves its mission to protect and save lives by:

  •  Providing Papua New Guineans with urgent and timely access to healthcare.
  •  Delivering high quality primary care and public health support services.
