Dr. Michel C. Doré’s journey with St John spans more than four decades, from a teenage first aid instructor in Canada to Sub Prior of the International Order. Combining frontline clinical experience with senior leadership in emergency management and health, he has dedicated his life to service, volunteerism, and public health. Today, he supports national establishments across the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and EMEA, strengthening governance, building collaboration, and helping expand the Order’s global impact. Dr. Doré’s story is one of lifelong commitment, inspiring leadership, and the enduring power of St John’s mission to improve lives worldwide.

Happy Chinese New Year. As celebrations begin across Malaysia and Hong Kong for the Year of the Fire Horse, St John Ambulance of Malaysia (SJAM) and Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Brigade are on duty to keep communities safe. From emergency ambulance standby services to blood donation programmes, our volunteers are providing support throughout the festive period to ensure a joyful, healthy, and secure Chinese New Year for all.
