St John International has officially joined the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH), a global alliance hosted by the World Health Organisation. The membership will help raise awareness of our Mother and Baby Programme, strengthen global connections and create new opportunities for collaboration and learning.

A remarkable fundraising challenge has successfully reached its first destination, with the Flying Christine floating car completing its journey from Guernsey to Sark. Crewed by long-serving marine ambulance volunteers Gary Ward and Paul Phillips, the bright yellow car made the crossing as part of an effort to raise funds for the continued maintenance and operation of Flying Christine III.

The St John Ambulance Kenya and Malaysia Cadet Exchange brought together young people united by a shared commitment to service, learning and humanitarian action. For the Kenyan cadets, the experience offered an opportunity to discover new approaches, engage with a different culture and strengthen connections with St John Ambulance Malaysia.

St John Ambulance Ghana has launched the sixth St John Mother and Baby Programme, bringing a decade of community-based maternal and newborn health experience to Ghana. The programme will work with local communities, volunteers and health services to help families access information, support and care when they need it most.

After nine years at the Eden Project, Jessie Wheeler joined St John International as Fundraising Manager, bringing her experience in systems, product management and the third sector. Three months into her new role, Jessie shares what drew her to St John, her fundraising priorities and what excites her about the organisation’s future.

The St John Ambulance Asia Pacific Regional Youth Competition 2026 (APRYC) brought cadets from Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore together in Hong Kong on 24–25 July 2026. Hosted by the Hong Kong St John Ambulance Brigade as part of its 110th Anniversary celebrations, the competition reflected the theme “Together We Serve, We Connect”, celebrating first aid, teamwork, youth leadership and the longstanding friendship across the St John family.

We are proud to announce that the National St John Ambulance Service of Papua New Guinea has received the Excellence in Staff Development Award at the Council of Ambulance Authorities’ 2026 Awards for Excellence.

The award recognises the National Ambulance Education College: Building PNG’s Pre-hospital Workforce initiative, which was judged alongside leading ambulance programs from Australia and New Zealand.
