In 2023, Yolandé faced a challenging period when she was made redundant, testing both her resilience and faith. Through humility, perseverance, and strong Christian values, she remained dedicated to St John’s mission. In 2024, she was reappointed as HR Director of St John South Africa, a role she views not merely as a position, but as a calling to serve both the organisation and its people.
As HR Director, Yolandé focuses on strengthening governance, cultivating a culture of accountability, and ensuring that staff and volunteers feel valued and supported. She is passionate about developing people, fostering unity across provinces, and aligning HR strategy with organisational objectives. Her leadership approach, grounded in empathy, fairness, and open communication, has helped build trust, collaboration, and a positive workplace culture.
