In every community, there are unsung heroes who dedicate their time, energy, and hearts to making a difference. These volunteers embody selflessness and commitment, often working tirelessly behind the scenes to support various causes. Their efforts not only uplift those in need but also inspire others to get involved.

Today, we want to take a moment to recognise one of our volunteer heroes, Richard Salter.

Cycling is a popular sport and recreational activity worldwide and Hong Kong is no exception.  Since the early 2000’s, there has been increasing demand for first aid services for activities in large open spaces.  There has been an upsurge of activities such as fund-raising walks, triathlons, long-distance runs and bicycle races which call for efficient and prompt medical assistance.

The U.S. Priory is proud of its new “First Aid in Schools” initiative which recently launched in New York City and will provide students in grades K-7 an understanding of emergencies.

In partnership with Sasol, a global chemicals and energy company, St John South Africa collaborated on a project targeting the overlooked needs of senior citizens and individuals with disabilities in the Sasolburg communities of Deneysville and Oranjeville in the Free State Province.

Hong Kong St John Ambulance celebrated its 140th anniversary this year. To commemorate the occasion, Hong Kong St John Ambulance hosted the Asia Pacific Youth Competition (APYC) 2024 on Saturday 27 July 2024, at the Wu Kai Sha Youth Village of the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong.
