The 24th of June, the feast day of St John the Baptist, is a very important day in our St John Calendar. To mark the day thousands of St John volunteers, staff, and members of the Order came together to highlight and celebrate the global work of St John.

St John’s Day is not just about the ceremony that combines all the grandeur and pageantry of the Order of St John’s important customs, traditions, and position as a Crown Order of Chivalry, but also to highlight and celebrate the global work of St John today.

On Saturday 3rd June 2023, St John Ambulance Cymru held its Annual Service of Commemoration, Rededication, and Investiture in Llandaff Cathedral.

“This Volunteers’ Week 2023, I would like to thank the 200,000 dedicated St John volunteers around the world”.

In honour of International Volunteers Week, we asked Dr Amanda Draper, the winner of Volunteering Western Australia’s 2023 Lifetime Contribution to Volunteering Award, why she chose to volunteer with St John.
