In the raising of Jesus from the power of sin and death, we witness a new creation being born. We give thanks with all our hearts for this dawn of justice and peace, incarnate in a human life, an Easter gift to all, the humane face of God.
May we, who follow this suffering servant into the wounds of the world, be refreshed by his death-defying love and the grace of his compassion. May we find, and be found in, the ways of his goodness and the living hope he has placed within us.
O Risen One, by your wounds we have been healed. May we who seek to heal and save, be strengthened by your example.
O God of all that lives and breathes,
You are the peace of all things calm,
You are the place to hide from harm,
You are the light that shines in the dark,
You are the heart’s eternal spark,
You are the door that’s open wide,
You are the guest who waits inside,
You are the light, the truth, the way,
You are our hope, this very day.
Amen
