Kimberley Gounden, joined the Order of St John South Africa in April 2023 as Financial Manager, bringing a strong commitment to financial excellence, governance, and service-driven leadership.
Within her first year, Kimberley played a pivotal role in strengthening financial processes and governance frameworks, contributing to the organization achieving its first ever clean audit opiniona major milestone in its history. In recognition of her impact and leadership, she was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in April 2024. Later that year, Kimberley was formally admitted as a Member of the Order of St John South Africa, honouring her dedication, service, and alignment with the organization’s mission and values.
Since stepping into the CFO role, Kimberley has successfully maintained the organisation’s clean audit status while working closely with her team to enhance governance structures, improve financial controls, and address longstanding historical challenges. Her leadership continues to support sustainable accountability and operational integrity across the organization.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Kimberley is passionate about community service and youth development. She actively participates in children’s ministry at her local church and dedicates time to supporting the charitable initiatives of St John South Africa, contributing meaningfully to its mission of service and community upliftment.
