St John Ambulance Hong Kong is a charitable organisation with a long history stretching back over a century and has been serving the community since 1884.

In Hong Kong, the St John Ambulance Association was established in 1884, followed by the Ambulance Brigade in 1916 and the Council in 1949.

Adhered to its motto, "In the Service of Humanity", the organisation is dedicated to provide First Aid and ambulance services in emergency, dental care for the elderly and patients with special needs, and courses of instructions on First Aid and Home Nursing for the general public.

Services

Training Courses for Public

St John Ambulance Association in Hong Kong is responsible for training members of the public in the principle and the practice of First Aid, Home Nursing and other allied subjects.

Ambulance Service

Fully equipped ambulances are run by the Brigade and stationed in three depots, attending to emergency calls from residents of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories on 24-hour basis.

First Aid Service

Over 7,300 volunteers have been trained to be efficient and competent at all times to perform public duties.

Dental Service

Dentists provide free dental service to people who are in need. Together with St John members and volunteers, they conduct Dental Outreach Programmes which includes dental health education and counselling for many local charitable organisations.
