Providing first aid and other health care services care to those in need in Hong Kong for over 130 years, St John in Hong Kong became a Priory on 1st March 2015.

 

The ceremony took place in St John’s Cathedral, Hong Kong with the Lord Prior, The Honourable Dr Neil Conn AO presiding at the inauguration of the eleventh Priory of the Order.

 

Guests invited to the ceremony included representatives from other St John Priories and Associations around the world, many uniformed members of St John Ambulance Hong Kong as well as the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, The Honourable Chun Ying Leung who commended the work and effort of St John staff and volunteers in Hong Kong.

 

 

Council Chairman Dr David L.F Mok, who is also a medical doctor was installed as the first Prior. In his address, Dr Mok reiterated that St John Hong Kong will continue its work in serving those in need of first aid.
