God of Eternity,

you promised eternal life to all your children.

Hear us as we give thanks for your servant Elizabeth who, as the Sovereign Head of The Order of St John, gave us a shining example of service for the Faith and for all Humankind.

Having passed from this life full of years and strong in faith, we give thanks for her life and Christian witness.

We ask you to meet us in our sadness, and fill our hearts with a longing for the values which she embraced in love and joy and peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
