The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, otherwise known as The Order of St John, is an organisation incorporated by Royal Charter and a Charity, registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, Charity number 235979. The Order of St John is accredited to the United Nations as a non-governmental Organisation (NGO) in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Read more

The International Secretariat of the Order – called St John International – is the supporting body for St John organisations. We are providing support services, based on individual assessments of the current activities and needs of our local organisation. Read more

St John Organisations promote physical, mental and spiritual health and resilience in more than 35 countries. First aid is at the core of what we do; each Year, St John organisations train more than 2 million people in first aid and other healthcare activities. Worldwide, we treat over 1.2 million and reach more than 2.5 million beneficiaries with our services. Read more

COVID-19: Our worldwide response

St John organisations in more than 36 countries are fighting at the frontline against COVID-19. Our volunteers and staff are supporting national health systems, which otherwise would not be able to cope with the virus and its effects on the local population. Read more
